My mother tells me I've been singing since before I could speak. I have to imagine it is because she had been singing to me since before I was born. My first performance was with her, at age four. We sang a duet at the church talent show. The Garden Song: "Inch by inch, row by row. Gonna make this garden grow. All you need is a rake and a hoe and a peice of fertile ground". And I supose that this is, in many ways, the basis for my life as a singer.
